History of Charter School Partners/Funders/Partner Schools
On May 1, 2009, Charter School Partners formally began its outreach efforts to promote the growth and expansion of high quality charter schools in Minnesota. CSP has received support from the Walton Family Foundation and numerous local corporate and foundation donors, including the Best Buy Children's Foundation, the Carlson Family Foundation, Friends of Education, the Minneapolis Foundation as well as numerous individual donors.
During the 2009-2010 school year, Charter School Partners worked with 23 CSP Partner Schools, providing a broad range of services as well as six additional inner city Minneapolis schools, where CSP partnered with the Minneapolis Foundation to provide the Cambridge Education School Review. The Partner Schools vary widely in demographics and philosophy. They include project-based as well as classical schools; start-ups and well established schools; inner city and suburban schools. Eleven different state Authorizers are represented in CSP Partner Schools. Present Partner Schools include:
